All games are at CHHS Main Gym in Suwanee, GA. Boys and girls, from ages 6 to 18, and 18 over, all skill levels. Whether a school, travel, select, or rec player, 3 on 3 will challenge you and improve your game, all while having fun. Everyone plays. This will be our 6th successful 3 on 3 program.  More will be posted shortly.

Most athletic associations will not have a fall season, only one longer season similar to high school schedules. 3 on 3 will keep you involved, active, and give you an edge. A large number of our former players and SASS skills students are now on travel, middle and high school teams. Call or email us with any questions- contact info on main page.

BASIC SCHEDULE - Each team will have at least one game per session, generally two. The sessions run for 2 hours, so each player should plan on being there each night. Specific game schedule will be set after sign-ups - depends on the number of players/teams.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

SASS 3 – 3 PLAYER BASKETBALL BASIC RULES – 2011

Games will be played according to GHSA rules with the following exceptions:

1. DUNKING IS NOT ALLOWED!

2. Games are played on half courts, so every time a team gains possession of the ball, they must bring it back beyond the 3 point circle. Coin toss to decide possession and home team. Home team gets first possession, wears white-side or SASS pinnies.

3. Game times will be 20 minutes, running clock, with 1 time out per team, per game. If a game ends in a tie: (a) Two minute overtime; (b) One minute overtime; (3) Sudden death.

4. All games will begin and end at the coach/monitor’s signal, whom can stop the game at any time at their discretion. No stalling the clock. If the offensive team is tied or down one basket in the last 10 seconds and they get fouled, they will be granted 10 more seconds. Repeat this procedure as often as necessitated by defensive fouls. This should prevent end of the game defensive fouling to preserve a victory or tie.

5. Age groups over 14 should call their own fouls. However, the monitor /ref will call them as they see them, and will resolve all disputes. Intentional or flagrant fouls will not be tolerated and may cause ejection from the game, or expulsion from the program. Other players on or off the court cannot call fouls. Fouls for all age groups under 14 will be called by the monitor/ref.

6. When the ball goes out of bounds, it will be in-bounded at the point where it went out. A defensive player must “check” the ball (take possession of the ball and give it to an offensive player only after seeing that his defensive teammates are ready to play) on all out of bounds and after all scores.

7. On all fouls or violations, play will be restarted by the offended team at the top of the key. A defensive player must check the ball before it may be put back into play.

8. There will be free substitution (only on a dead ball).

9. Jump balls will be awarded to the defensive team.

10. All baskets are worth 1 point.

11. Teams have a 5 minute grace period to get 2 players on the court before a forfeit is declared. Play may start or continue with two players. If a team has fewer than two players after the 5-minute grace period, a forfeit will be declared.

12. Under 14 groups cannot defend past the 3 point circle, 14 over may do so.

13. If there are no volunteers to keep time or score then it will be kept on the floor by the ref.

Bottled drinks cannot be taken into the gyms, only water in plastic bottles.

Any players involved in a fight will be automatically suspended for at least 2 weeks or more. Repeat offenses may cause permanent suspension.

Let’s keep it fun for everyone.”
